Where We're Going
Where we came from
The Garden Church Buffalo is being re-planted with the help of Lumber City Church in North Tonawanda. Lumber City Church is a multiplying church. They opened their doors in 2014 and helped to start Steel City Church in Lackawanna, NY in 2015.
Their vision has always been to create an authentic church community that simply lives out the gospel of Jesus Christ through mission to people marginalized by special or real felt needs. When asked about the way they've been able to grow and start new works that reach lost and hurting people, Pastor Chad Rieselman replies, "All we've ever done is feed the poor and preach the gospel" It's that simple DNA that will be reproduced in The Garden Church Buffalo.
Where we're going
We know just about all can be known from data about the neighborhood we’re being called to reach. The area we're called to reach is known as the “Delaware Park” section of Buffalo. We’ve done a deep dive into the Mission Insight report for this specific area and we have a great deal of confidence that we will be doing ministry in a way that reaches the families living in the blocks in our sights. God turns graves into a gardens!
